Woman mourning death of relative in car bomb explosion shouts outside Yarmouk hospital, in Baghdad, Iraq, Thursday
 Iraqi authorities say at least 30 people have been killed in a car bomb explosion in a small town south of Baghdad. Officials say more than 20 others were wounded in the blast, which occurred today (Thursday) outside a hospital in Mahmoudiya town.
Separately, the U.S. military says two American soldiers who were hit by gunfire in southwest Baghdad Wednesday have since died. 

 The International Atomic Energy Agency board of governors has begun a two-day meeting in Vienna to discuss Iran's nuclear program. Diplomats say the board is considering a European Union draft that offers to resume nuclear talks with Tehran, which have been suspended since Iran began a new round of uranium processing in August. But the Associate Press news agency reports the draft also accuses Iran of having nuclear documents that "have no other application than the production of nuclear weapons."

been discovered in Indonesia's Aceh province. Authorities say hundreds of chickens infected with (H5N1) the most deadly strain of avian influenza virus have died in three districts in Aceh.
In Vietnam, public health officials say a 15-year-old boy from the northern port city of Haiphong has tested positive for the same H5N1 strain of the flu virus. (The findings have not yet been confirmed by the World Health Organization.
