Nam Theun 2 Dam construction
Investors of Laos' Nam Theun 2 hydropower project admit there have been delays in the relocation of the villagers affected by the construction of the multimillion-dollar dam, due to the rainy season and shortage of lumber to build facilities.

The group's spokesman says so far only 6 villages have been relocated and two are in the process of relocating. Nevertheless, the investors hope to relocate 15 more villages by the end of next year.

They also reaffirm their pledge to increase the villagers' income three folds by 2015.
