Sounthorn Theva

VOA-Music program this week pays tribute to Sounthone Theva, a talented Lao artist who passed away recently.

We feature three of his songs: Pit Hack Fang Jai, Hack Mee Kum and Ai Kaw Houam Thang.

This gifted artist become a singer at a very young age. He was born and grew up in Savannakhet. He moved to Vientiane once he took up a career as a singer.

Sounthone sang in Lan Xang Hotel, Vientiane, Laos prior to moving to the United States in 1992. He passed away at his home in Morino Valley, California on Jan 22, 2008 at age 54.

Sounthone Theva will always be remembered by his fans around the globe.
