Nancy:      Excuse me, officer, but.. but... someone stole my car!

Policeman:      Someone stole your car?

Nancy:      Yes, they stole it!  They stole my car!

 

(short pause)

 

Policeman:      Where was it?  Where was your car?

 

(short pause)

 

Nancy:       It was right here, in this parking lot.

 

(short pause)

 

Policeman:      OK.  Tell me what happened.

Nancy:       I parked my car here, next to a green car, and I went into the bank.

Nancy:      And when I came out, my car was gone!

Policeman:      Where is the green car?

Nancy:       It’s gone too!
