Larry:        New Dynamic English is a basic English language course and an introduction to American people and culture.

 

                  Today's unit is "The Taste Of Vegetables."

Max:         Denise works in a law firm, doesn't she?

 

Kathy:       Yes, and she's married with two children... two girls.

 

Max:         And what's Denise going to talk about?

 

Kathy:       We're going to talk about things to eat.

 

Max:         Food?

 

Kathy:       That's right.

 

Interview.  Denise Collins:    Healthy foods or tasty foods?

                  Hello, Denise.

 

Denise:      Hello, Kathy.

 

Kathy:       Denise, let's talk about food.

 

Denise:      OK.  That's one of my favorite topics.

 

Kathy:       Which is more important to you:  food that is healthy or food that tastes good?

 

Denise:      Healthy food or tasty food?

 

Kathy:       Yes.

 

Denise:      That's a difficult question... because I think that healthy food does taste good.

 

                  For example, I love vegetables.

 

                  I really like the taste of vegetables.

 

                  And of course vegetables are very good for your health.

 

Kathy:       So you like food that tastes good and is healthy.

 

Denise:      Yes!?

 

 

Kathy:       Our guest is Denise Collins.  We'll talk more after our break.
