Each story has a transcript along with an MP3 link in the upper right corner of the page.
If your audio player covers the transcript, there are two ways to still be able to read and listen at the same time. One way is to open two separate browser windows with the same story and click on the MP3 link in one of them.
The other way is to right-click on the MP3 link and save the audio file to your computer, then open it separately. This way you can also download audio files to share or to import to an MP3 player.
VOA Special English news and feature programs are broadcast every day of the year. You can search for stories since 2002.
The easiest way to find programs is to use the search box at the upper right of the page.
To find archives of a particular program, enter the program name in quotation marks ("The Making of a Nation"). Or use keywords to search for a subject that interests you.
