Lawmakers to Probe Fatal Attack on US Compound in Benghazi

The U.S. Senate's Intelligence Committee will hold a closed hearing later this week (Nov. 15) on the events surrounding the attack two months ago (Sept. 11) on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Four Americans were killed in the attack, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens. That much is clear, but descriptions of the nature of the attack have changed VOA's Suzanne Presto in Washington has more about officials' shifting accounts of the Benghazi events.
