Drought Documentary: a Dry Season (Nov. 30)

Published November 30, 2012

2012 has been the warmest year on record in the United States and the driest since 1988. The extreme weather has hit some of the nation’s most fertile farmland. As the world’s largest exporter of corn and soybeans, the impact has been global. Crop prices have reached record highs, raising the cost of feeding livestock. VOA's Steve Baragona and Kane Farabaugh talk about the drought with On Assignment.
