The Average American Wedding: Big And Expensive

More than two million three hundred thousand couples get married the United States every year. That averages out to six thousand two hundred weddings a day. Overall, the U.S. wedding industry is estimated at more than $70 billion a year. And as Tatiana Vorozhko, of VOA’s Ukrainian Service tells us, many wedding ceremonies are huge productions -- which take a year or more to plan.
