Obama: Spending Cuts 'Dumb,' Unnecessary

U.S. President Barack Obama is blaming Republican lawmakers for failing to stop automatic government spending cuts that took effect Friday. VOA’s Kent Klein reports from the White House that the president met with top Republican and Democratic lawmakers at the White House to discuss the issue.
