There are thousands of employees at the U.S. State Department, both in Washington and around the world, and every day, the department holds a briefing for many members of the press. Patrick Ventrell is in charge of State’s press office, and himself has held the podium to talk with reporters about the international views of the United States. On Assignment talks with Ventrell about the daily details of responding to press inquiries at the nation’s central diplomatic agency.
