Legendary American rock musician Lou Reed died on October 27. The 71 year-old avant garde performer was influential in the evolution of rock music, dating back to his days as a founding member of the Velvet Underground in the late 1960s. Reed’s music focused on his home town of New York, exploring dark themes of drugs, sex and loneliness in ways that were not common in rock. VOA radio host Katherine Cole talks with Imran.
