Tenzin Wangpo Tethong is a Tibetan activist born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland. Wangpo produced Radio Free Tibet, the first Tibetan exile radio program in Switzerland in 1989, and since then has served as the president of the Tibetan Youth Association in Europe and National Olympic Committee of Tibet. He was one of the four participants during the first protest of Tibetans in exile on the grounds of Tienanmen Square, Beijing. Wangpo currently serves on the board of ‘Filming for Tibet’, where he is responsible for financing, production, and distribution of “Leaving Fear Behind” a film by Dhondup Wangchen, a Tibetan political prisoner.
