U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry says the United States is prepared to impose additional sanctions on Russia for its annexation of Ukraine's Crimean peninsula. Russian forces effectively took control of the region in the wake of the ouster of Ukraine's pro-Russian president, Viktor Yanukovych, after months of protests and violence in Ukraine's capital, Kyiv. In an exclusive interview with VOA Persian Service, Kerry said Russia's actions run the risk of destabilizing Ukraine. Amanda Scott has more from Washington.
