News & Views: The foreign ministers of the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council agreed Tuesday to a new set of sanctions against Iran to present to the Council as a draft resolution, but they did not announce details of the sanctions, which are intended to induce Tehran to give up its nuclear program. Robert Tait of the Guardian who was recently expelled from Iran. He comes to us live via satellite from London. He will discuss perceptions in Iran about how the government is handling the economy, the energy crisis, dissatisfaction during Iran’s cold weather snap, and the blacklisting of candidates leading up to the Parliamentary elections.
