News & Views: We lead the broadcast with reports that the Bush administration has agreed to turn over to international inspectors intelligence data it has collected that it says proves Iran worked on developing a nuclear weapon until a little more than four years ago, according to American and foreign diplomats. The decision reverses the United States’ longstanding refusal to share the data, citing the need to protect intelligence sources. We will have reaction from David Foley of state, who will also comment the status of the delayed tripartite Baghdad security talks and other news of the day. We have an exclusive interview with Ali Eshraghi, the grandson of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, founder of Iran's Islamic republic. He had been among hundreds excluded for allegedly not being loyal enough to the principles of the 1979 Islamic revolution and hard-line interpretations of Islamic rule.
