All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) doctor said Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama’s vision has been restored in a follow-up checkup two days after his eye surgery.

The 76-year-old Buddhist leader had a cataract in the left eye, a clouding of the eye's natural lens. The cataract was removed and an intra-ocular lens was implanted for better vision.
