Worldwide Tibet Vigil Day

Lama Ngawang Norbu discusses the Kalachakra

Lama Ngawang Norbu, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the upcoming Kalachakra, discusses the preparations and significance of the Dalai Lama led Kalachakra initiation that will start in Bodhgaya in early January. He explains that while the two key components of Kalachakra, or the Wheel of Time, is comprised of preliminary teaching and the actual empowerment of Kalachakra, the event has in recent years become an immensely important occasion for Tibetans in general, but younger people in particular from both sides of the Himalayas to gather and partake in many other activities as well that help them develop a deeper understanding of their spiritual and cultural heritage.
