March 10th, 2008 will be the 50th anniversary of the Tibetan national uprising day, and this week’s Kunleng examines the political, economic and social changes that Tibetans have undergone both inside Tibet and in exile in this period.

Dawa Tsering, joint secretary of Dept. of Information and International Relations of the Tibetan government in exile, and Rinchen Dharlo, president of Tibet Fund, will discuss the long term implications of China’s past and present policies in Tibet, and the achievements of Tibetan exiles, their struggle for freedom, and the possible impact of the educational and democratic systems cultivated by Dharamsala on the future of Tibet.
