Images of China's brutality in Tibet for the world to view

20-03-2009

The outside world  heard of the Tibetans protesting against the Chinese rule and its harsh policies on Tibet, specially the relatively massive and widespread ones of March-April 2008.  The world also learnt of the Chinese crackdown of the protestors. However,  the world did not see  Chinese brutality on protestors ... until this time.

The exile Tibetan government released, Friday, some  rare footages of police beating of protestors, the suffering death of a captive, and para-military presence in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. These footages managed to make their way to the outside world. This certainly is the first time that the world gets to see for themselves the merciless torture inflicted on Tibetan protesters inside Tibet, despite Chinese denial of such actions all this while.
