Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Quo Guohang concluded the three-day-visit to Mustang, met local leaders of political parties.

The Chinese ambassador handed 200,000RMB to a School in Taglung of Mustang,  to rebuild the school buildings and purchase computers and furniture for the school.

"We are very happy that Mustang population has been stopping activities against my country”, Ambassador said adding "we hope that the process will continue in the future as well". Ambassador also declared that the Chinese government is bringing development packages for the Upper Mustang Region-areas bordering China.

According to Nepali Congress Mustang vice-president Khagendra Tulachan, they dwelt on the issues of opening Mustang-Tibet trade point through Nechung Customs. Krishna Prasad Parajuli, UCPN-Maoist Mustang in-charge, said the Chinese envoy was positive about the development projects in the area and was also keen on maintaining harmonious bilateral relations between the two countries.

U.S. Ambassador to Nepal Nancy J Powell had also visited the area recently to inaugurate a library in Lomangthang that borders China.
