GET THE NEWS ON ARABSAT, TOO

As of February 22, 2010, this broadcast has been jammed by the Ethiopian government.  We continue to send you reliable, accurate and balanced reporting in our shortwave broadcasts.  Now, we proudly offer Ethiopia uncensored news from the Voice of America on the Arabsat satellite.

The new transmission is the clear and complete audio broadcast of VOA news for Ethiopia in Afan Oromo, Amharic and Tigrigna on TV sets serving by Arabsat satellite transmissions.  You can hear the audio of our regular live Monday-through-Friday broadcasts of Afan Oromo at 8:30 p.m., Amharic at 9 p.m. and Tigrigna at 10 p.m. and our Amharic Breakfast Show at 6 a.m.  These evening broadcasts will be repeated immediately following the live broadcasts.  The Breakfast Show will be repeated at 7 a.m.
