Julie Vahdati is the producer and host of “A Woman's World,” a weekly film series focusing on the lives of Muslim women.

Ms. Vahdati was born in London, and grew up in Iran and England. A graduate of the American University in Washington, D.C., she has a degree in mass communications. She also pursued advanced studies in English literature and art history at Padworth College in England.

Ms. Vahdati previously worked as coordinating producer for “News and Views,” a live, daily news and information program broadcast to Iran by the Voice of America. She is the co-author of Mom's Little Book of Displaying Children's Art, published in the U.S. in 2000. She is fluent in English and Farsi.
