Lhalung Tashi Gaden, Karate Master & Teacher

Tashi Gaden Lhalung was a martial arts enthusiast even as a young child growing up in Tibet. In 1990, he came to India with the goal of studying martial arts and soon joined the Indian army. While serving in the army, Lhalung also trained in Karate at Budo Kai, India’s only martial arts institute where he eventually rose to to the rank of 4th degree black belt. He then went to Japan for further training and joined the International Karate-Do Goju Kai Association and Aikido World Headquarters. Lhalung has successfully taught many Tibetans over years and says that Karate practice not only keeps him physically fit but that it also helps cultivate mental alertness and a calm disposition.
