Barley one week is left for South Sudanese to trade out their old Sudanese pounds for the new South Sudanese currency. Merchants are starting to refuse the old Sudanese notes, as people scramble to get rid of the ones they have left. In Northern Bahr El Gazal states are still trying to get to rural areas they have not been to yet. VOA’s HOU Akot HOU went to Aweil East county to catch up with a team from the Central Bank.
