Taiwan Voters Not Happy With Their Government, Analyst Says

Taiwan's Cabinet resigned today (Monday) after the ruling Nationalist Party, also known as the Kuomintang or KMT, suffered major defeat in Saturday's local elections. The government of President Ma Ying-jeou has sought closer economic ties with Beijing. Monash University China analyst Bruce Jacobs, speaking to VOA's Victor Beattie from Taiwan, says the message of the voters was simple: we're not happy with the way the government under President Ma Ying-jeou is working
