Newcastle Remains Undeaded in Latest UEFA Match


Goals from Alan Shearer and Craig Bellamy have given Newscastle a 2-0 win over Dinamo Tiblisi and kept the English football club undefeated so far in Group D UEFA Cup play.

Shearer scored his ninth goal of the season in the 38th minute while Bellamy added Newcastle's second score in the 56th minute of the Group-D contest.

In Group A, Hearts of Midlothian scored a 1-0 win over Schalke of Germany.

In Group B, Parma of Italy beat Steaua Bucharest of Romania on a late score by midfielder Alessandro Budel. Also in Group-B Betsiktas of Turkey defated Athletic Bilbao, 3-1.

Meanwhile in the Netherlands, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk beat FC Utrecht 2-1. The win helped move the Ukrainian club to the top of Group C with six points. In the other Group C match, a single goal from Radoslav Gileqicz was enough to give Austria's F-K Austria Vienna a 1-0 win over Spain's Real Zaragoza.

In Group E, Boudewijn Zenden scored twice as European rookie Middlesbrough beat Lazio 2-0. Partizan Belgrade beat Greece's Egaleo, 4-0.

Three goals from Austrian international player Roland Kollman helped Grazer A-K beat the Polish club Amica, 3-1 in a Group-F match in Graz, Austria.

Stuttgart scored its second victory in two matches thanks to a 3-0 Group G win over Portugal's Benfica Lisbon in Germany. Striker Matt Moussilou scored the winning goal as Lille beat Zenit St. Petersburg, 2-1 in Group H competition.
