U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales is in Colombia for talks with government officials focusing on cooperation in the war on drugs.
Justice Department officials say Mr. Gonzales is scheduled to meet today with Colombia's Prosecutor General Mario Iguaran, and hold a briefing for reporters.
Colombia is the world's largest producer of cocaine. The United States has spent at least three billion dollars over the last three years to help eradicate cocaine production and trafficking in the South American nation.
