Mexican President Vicente Fox is in Canada to discuss investment and other economic opportunities with officials.
He started the two-day visit Thursday in Calgary, the capital of the oil-rich province of Alberta. He is to meet with Prime Minister Paul Martin Friday, in Vancouver.
President Fox is also to meet with business executives and is expected to discuss oil exploration developments and oil recovery techniques.
Mexico and Canada signed a deal last year to boost bilateral economic and political cooperation.
