World number one men's tennis player Roger Federer of Switzerland and David Nalbandian of Argentina have advanced to the finals of the Tennis Masters Cup competition in Shanghai, China.
Federer, the defending champion, ousted Argentine Gaston Gaudio in straight sets, 6-love, 6-love (6-0, 6-0). It was the Swiss player's 35th straight win.
Eighth-seeded Nalbandian also held his opponent scoreless in the first set of his semifinal against seventh-ranked Nikolay Davydenko before clinching the match 6-0, 7-5.
Federer has 81 wins and only three losses this year. He has won his last 24 finals and hasn't lost in a championship match in more than two years.
