The U.S. men's team has won the bronze medal in the Olympic curling competition, the first ever Olympic medal in the sport for the United States.
The U.S. men defeated Great Britain, 8-6.
Curling is a sport where competitors slide a large rounded stone down the ice an attempt to come close to a target. Points are calculated based on the distance the stones finish from the target or "house."
The gold medal match is later Friday with Finland taking on Canada. Thursday, Sweden beat Switzerland and won the women's gold medal. Canada took the bronze medal.
