The Dallas Cowboys have defeated the Green Bay Packers, 37-27, in a battle of two top National Football League teams.
With the win, Dallas is 11-1 and leads the National Conference. Green Bay drops to 10-2.
The game was the first time in 17 years that two NFL teams with records of 10-1 or better had played one another.
Green Bay lost veteran quarterback Brett Favre in the first quarter with an elbow injury. Backup Aaron Rodgers filled in with a strong 201 yards and one touchdown. But Dallas quarterback Tony Romo put up bigger numbers, with 309 passing yards and four touchdowns.
Dallas now holds the edge for home field advantage in the playoffs. The undefeated New England Patriots at 11-0 are in the American Conference. Head-to-head, Dallas leads Green Bay in wins, 11-10, all-time.
