A Manila court has acquitted former Philippines first lady Imelda Marcos of 32 counts of funneling wealth out of the country during the 20-year rule of her husband.
Judge Silvino Pampilo ruled that evidence provided by the government failed to prove Mrs. Marcos broke the law.
Ferdinand Marcos, who ruled the Philippines for two decades, fled into exile in 1986 with his family after he was overthrown in a "people power" revolution led by the Catholic Church and factions of the army. Mr. Marcos died in Hawaii in 1989.
He is accused of funneling billions of dollars of government funds out of the country.
Mrs. Marcos, who later returned to the Philippines, faces a string of criminal and civil cases related to the money.
