Dateline: New York Drop-In Center - 2001-10-04


It has been several weeks since the terrorist attacks of September 11, but New Yorkers continue to volunteer their time to help cope with the aftermath. Residents are helping at both traditional humanitarian agencies such as the Red Cross and in less institutional settings.

This edition of Dateline looks visits one all-volunteer center where emergency workers and everyday New Yorkers receive practical help and emotional support. Here's VOA's Adam Phillips.
