Australian Craig Parry birdied the 18th hole to help give him a one-shot win in the New Zealand Open Sunday.
Parry saw a two-shot swing in his favor when New Zealander Michael Campbell, putting to save par, three-putted for double-bogey on the 17th, just before Parry birdied the 18th. Tiger Woods, who shot a final-round 69, was left to ponder missed opportunities after a slow start Sunday cost him a chance at the title in his first trip to New Zealand.
Sunday's play began an hour late. Greens were soggy from two days of rain that caused play to be suspended for more than three hours on Saturday. Fourteen golfers had to finish their third rounds on Sunday morning.
