Michael Drudge serves as VOA's correspondent in London, from where he travels to cover breaking stories in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Michael joined VOA in 1985, when he opened VOA's Central America Bureau in San Jose, Costa Rica. He also has served as VOA correspondent in Mexico City and New Delhi, and as VOA's chief diplomatic correspondent at the State Department.
Michael worked as a senior editor in VOA's Washington news room before moving to London.
Prior to joining VOA, Michael was a reporter and editor for United Press International in Mexico and El Salvador.
He grew up in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking barbecues and entertaining friends.
