The chairman of Nigeria’s financial crimes agency says he will continue to do his job despite threats on his life.
Nuhu Ribadu is an assistant police commissioner and executive chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. His job is to arrest and prosecute suspected con artists who have swindled people, mostly foreigners, out of millions of dollars through advance fee fraud, popularly known as 419.
Mr. Ribadu told English to Africa reporter Chinedu Offor that the commission has made significant achievements by arresting prominent Nigerian involved in the scam.
