NFL: Redskins Snap 4-Game Losing Skid on Trick Play

The Washington Redskins have snapped a four-game losing streak with a 27-20 victory against the Seattle Seahawks. Washington avoided disaster late in the game with a successful fourth down running play deep in its own territory. The Redskins continued to drive down the field as quarterback Patrick Ramsey completed long passes to his reliable targets, Rod Gardner and Laveranues Coles. Gardner turned quarterback on a trick play and threw the winning touchdown strike to running back Trung Canidate.

Fred Taylor ran 32 yards for a touchdown to give the Jacksonville Jaguars a first-ever victory over the Indianapolis Colts, 28-23. Indianapolis quarterback Peyton Manning completed three straight passes on the Colts' final drive before throwing an interception to seal the win for the Jaguars. The Colts, with a strong 7-2 record, fall into a first-place tie with the Tennessee Titans in the AFC South division. Jacksonville, winning just its second game of the season, stopped a three-game losing streak. The Titans were 31-7 winners over the Miami Dolphins.

The Carolina Panthers held off a late charge by the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win, 27-24. Tampa Bay falls to a 4-4 record while Carolina has won six games so far.

The Kansas City Chiefs remain undefeated, gaining their eighth straight victory against the Cleveland Browns, 41-20.
