The Saudi Interior Ministry says security forces killed another wanted militant Wednesday, the fourth straight day of battles with extremists in the kingdom.
A statement said Abdul Rahman al-Yazji was killed in a shootout with police in an industrial area of the capital, Riyadh.
Tuesday, officials said 14 militants, including a senior al-Qaida terrorist, were killed during three days of battles in the remote town of Al-Ras, northwest of Riyadh.
Media reports say the dead terrorist was Kareem Altohami al-Mojati, who is accused of helping to plan deadly bombings in Morocco two years ago.
Saudi military officials described the fighting in Al-Ras as the heaviest since Riyadh launched a nationwide crackdown on militants in 2003.
