​Thursday night, anti-Trump protesters clashed with police outside the National Press Club in Washington. Inside, a pre-inauguration event called the "Deploraball" was taking place.

Donald Trump and his family are attending a worship service Friday morning at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Later he goes to the White House with his wife, Melania, for coffee with outgoing President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle.
