Babi Yar Memorial -- USAGM

This year is the 80th anniversary of the massacre of nearly 34,000 Jews by German forces during World War Two at the Babi Yar ravine near Kiev, Ukraine. There is a monument to the victims of the massacre of September 29-30, 1941, in Los Angeles, California, where many come to light candles in remembrance of those who perished.
