Thomas Jefferson Statue Removal USAGM

The statue of President Thomas Jefferson will be removed from New York City Hall and sent on long-term loan to the New-York Historical Society after some City Council members objected to its presence. The reason: Thomas Jefferson owned hundreds of slaves.
