Officials in Indian Kashmir say at least two soldiers and six suspected militants have been killed during a clash in the Himalayan region.
Officials say at least one soldier was also wounded in Saturday's clash 220 kilometers north of Jammu, the winter capital of Indian Kashmir.
Authorities say the suspected militants were trying to sneak into the Indian-controlled portion of Kashmir when the fighting began.
