The bodies of nine people, including three Mexican federal agents, have been found around Mexico's resort city of Cancun.

The remains were discovered Thursday in two separate areas near Cancun. Authorities say five bullet-riddled bodies were found near the airport, while the other four were discovered in a burned-out car.

Mexican police officials suspect the killings were drug-related.

The killings come days after two police officers were beaten and burned alive by a mob near Mexico City.
