Bad weather and wet conditions have forced organizers to call off the opening day of a three-day cricket match between Sri Lanka and an Indian all-star team.

Match umpires inspected the ground in Bangalore twice before deciding to abandon play.

The match against the Indian President's Board 11 is the only practice game for Sri Lanka before it takes on India in a three-test series starting December second.

Earlier this month, India beat Sri Lanka, 6-1 in a limited overs international series. Sri Lanka will also be without star batsman Sanath Jayasuriya because of his poor form and injuries.
