A British court has been shown dramatic video footage of an alleged would-be suicide bomber trying to blow up a crowded London subway.

Jurors at the trial of six Muslim men accused in the failed July 2005 attacks on London's transit network viewed the video Tuesday, the second day of their trial.

Prosecutors say the footage shows one of the accused, Ramzi Mohammed, turning a bag containing a bomb towards a mother and child and firing the explosive.  The video also shows the device failing to detonate, panic inside the subway car and the accused escaping when the train pulled into the next station.

The six men, most of African descent, have denied the charges in the high-profile case.  The attempted bombing came two weeks after four bombs ripped through London's transportation network, on July 7, 2005, killing 52 commuters and four suicide bombers.
