In Central and Eastern Europe, where the vast majority of Europe's estimated 10 million Roma live, Romani young people remain the most disadvantaged minority in the educational system. But a new generation of Romani leaders and a few non-governmental organizations are committed to improving opportunities for Romani, or Gypsy youth.
