England's cricket team has suffered another setback ahead of Thursday's start of the third ashes test against Australia, pace bowler Chris Silverwood has been ruled out of the event because of a back problem.

Pace Bowler Alex Tudor is also doubtful for the match because of stiffness, but he will undergo a fitness test Thursday morning.

England's squad is already missing Captain Nasser Hussain, who has a broken finger, and batsman Graham Thorpe, who is recovering from a broken bone in his hand.

Australia leads the best-of-five match series 2-0. The third test gets under way Thursday at Trent Bridge.
