Federal agents have searched the home and office of an outgoing top official of the Central Intelligence Agency.

The searches were conducted in the Washington area Friday as part of an investigation into Kyle Foggo's ties to a defense contractor linked to a former congressman now imprisoned for accepting bribes.

The agents are trying to determine whether Foggo helped the contractor, Brent Wilkes, win defense contracts. Foggo has maintained that his contacts with Wilkes were proper.

Wilkes is also suspected of hosting poker parties and providing prostitutes and limousine service to officials he wanted to influence.

Foggo has said he attended some poker parties but none where prostitutes were present.

Foggo, who announced his retirement earlier this week, has been the third-highest ranking official at the CIA.
