Four American golfers - David Toms, Fred Couples, Bart Bryant, and Jeff Sluman - are tied for the lead after the third round of the Memorial Tournament in Columbus, Ohio.

Toms had the best round of the day, shooting an 8-under-par 64 to go to 12-under-par 204 for the tournament. Couples and Bryant both fired 6-under-par 66s in the third round while Sluman had a 4-under-par 68 Saturday.

Americans Woody Austin and Jonathan Kaye are tied for fifth one stroke off the lead at 11-under-par 205. Austin scored a 7-under-par 65 in the third round while Kaye had a 4-under-par 68.

World number one golfer Tiger Woods of the United States dropped into a tie for 10th place four strokes off the pace at 8-under-par 208. Woods fired a 1-under-par 71 in the third round.

The tournament is being played on the Jack Nicklaus-designed Muirfield Village Golf Club Course, a par-72 layout that measures 6,643 meters. The winner takes home $945,000.
